Brigitte Mars







Brigitte Mars is an herbalist, author and university professor from Boulder, Colorado. She has been working with Natural Medicine for over 40 years. She teaches through private workshops and seminars, and also at Naropa University, Boulder College of Massage,  Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition and Omega Institute. Brigitte has a weekly Boulder radio show  called “Naturally,” teaches raw food classes, leads herb walks, and is a professional member of The American Herbalist Guild.

Healing Herbs and Wild Food



In this double DVD set, Brigitte teaches about wildcrafting and preparation of wild, raw foods.

In “Where the Wild Herbs Are” , Brigitte will lead you on a search for the wild medicinal herbs that grow not only in her neighborhood, but in your area and neighborhood and yard. Over 35 herbs and their uses will be identified. These herbs include alfalfa, burdock, mullein, sumac, bee balm, crampbark, soapwort, grindelia, yellow dock, lamb’s quarters, lemon balm, motherwort, elder, nettle , catnip, yarrow, comfrey, and more.

In “A Raw Foods Feast”, Brigitte demonstrates how to make a delicious and nutritious meal with many of the herbs she gathered around her home. She works her culinary magic in her kitchen, preparing all the food with raw and wild foods including green drinks, purslane gazpacho, squash spaghetti with nettles pesto, lamb’s quarters salad and finishing it off with blueberry pie and elderberry ice cream.
